UK Specialist Roof Cleaning & Soft Wash Moss Removal
Soft wash roof cleaning treats moss, algae and lichen at the root, without high-pressure damage. We work for homeowners across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, although we hope to cover more areas soon.
Specialist softwash roof cleaning
Apex Softwash cleans roofs, so we stay focused on one job and do it with care. We use low pressure and a suitable biocide, because that protects your tiles. As a result, the roof looks cleaner and the treatment keeps working after we leave.
Soft Wash Roof Cleaning
A low-pressure biocide treatment kills moss, algae and lichen at the root. Tile makers often advise this approach, because it is gentler than a jet wash.

We scrape off heavy moss by hand, then treat the roof with a professional biocide. This comes with 5-year regrowth protection, because the treatment aims to stop regrowth.

We clear gutters and clean fascias and soffits. For example, we can bundle this with a roof clean, since the same access often works for both.

The pressure washing trap
A high-pressure jet can strip the protective surface from tiles. It can also loosen ridge mortar and push water under the tiles. Worse, it only removes the moss you can see, so spores stay behind and regrow. It looks dramatic, but it can cause real damage.
The softwash difference
Softwashing uses gentle pressure and a biocide that soaks into the tile surface. The biocide kills moss, algae and lichen, and then rain rinses the dead growth away over the following weeks. As a result, you get one careful treatment, backed by 5-year regrowth protection.
